Amphicar chassis number 200002. The second Right Hand Drive car made, first registered in 1965.

Last used around 1970 in salt water, has been kept outside since.

 

Could be considered a special lightweight version as so much of the body is missing ! Most of the parts were lost many years ago.

Sadly it was beyond saving and has now been "recycled" - it did yield a few useful parts, I cut out the pedal box as that is unique to right hand drive cars, one of the driveshaft tunnels and the windscreen surround.

And finally we picked up another Amphicar from the same place, this is number 68 right hand drive.

It had been stored in a barn but previous owner had a problem getting it through the door -

they came up with a great solution as you can see in the photo !

Shocked to see how bad the inside of the chassis was when I cut it open !
